Higher and more consistent capacity readings; less sulfation. Limitations Slow charge time; capacity readings may be inconsistent and declining with each cycle. Sulfation may occur without equalizing charge. Subject to corrosion and gassing. Not suitable for charging at high room temperatures, causing severe overcharge. Effects of charge voltage on a small lead acid battery. Cylindrical lead acid cells have higher voltage settings than VRLA and starter batteries. Once fully charged through saturation, the battery should not dwell at the topping voltage for more than 48 hours and must be reduced to the float voltage level. This is especially critical for sealed systems because they are less tolerant to overcharge than the flooded type.

Email Welcome to Wild Slack Farm Martin and Andrea Foord would like to extend you a warm welcome and we hope you will enjoy your stay here on our farm site. We are sure you will find much to interest you in this wonderful part of the North York Moors There has been a dwelling of one sort or another on this site since the time of the Domesday Book in , in which it receives a mention.
At that time it is believed a Manor house stood here and later, in the middle ages, a Cruck house. The present farmhouse and buildings date from the 17oo’s and have one or two interesting architectural features, for example the corbel stones on the granary building are carved with faces, each having a different expression.
There are many local walks over the heather clad moors and along woodland paths. One such walk we have recently opened runs through ‘Crunkly Ghyll’ a deep wooded ravine which is close to the caravan park and is accessed through a gate halfway down the second field. This walk takes you through the upper part of the Ghyll and exits onto fields about half a mile from the starting point. From there it is only a little further into Lealholm village with its shop, pub and other facilities for you to enjoy.
The map above shows our location close to Lealholm. You can zoom in and out on the map and also enter a postcode into the locator box at the top left corner of the map which will then re-centre at that postcode. There are many places to visit and whether you want an active holiday or would prefer to relax and enjoy the peace and beauty of your surroundings, this is the place to be.

Jul 15, · Can anyone advise me on v hook up??? I have my camper set up with a leisure battery but I also want a mini consumer unit with a 16amp breaker connected to a socket in the van, so if there electric hook up we can use it.
The problem was my knowledge of 12v electrics was close to nothing. I would say after a few months research and learning, I now have a good understanding of the subject. If I can get a PC working reliably in the van with a good internet connection I can work from the beach instead of my office. This means instead of using the van for maybe a weekend a month I can use it for say three days a week. The first thing to decide on was the batteries. After working out how many amp hours I will need See Here the next thing is the best way to charge them and keep them in good condition.
The three ways I will be able to charge my leisure batteries are: From the van alternator whilst driving 2. Via a battery charger when at home or on a site with EHU 3. After a lot of research I decided on two w Monocrystalline panels with the option of fitting a third at a later date if I found I needed it. I went with Monocrystalline as they supply more power than Polycrystalline in lower light which is important with UK weather.
Photo shows my two solar panels fitted with space at the front for a third if needed.
I already had most of these — — — After I had a decent collection of wire and bits I started by scribbling a few sketches for how I thought the batteries should be connected, fused, isolated etc and then just made it up as I went along. One thing worth mentioning here is that the 0v terminals on the solar regulator are not common which caught me out! First I tried soldering the cable into the crimp but a 60w iron is not powerful enough so that was a fail.
The next thing I tried was crimping with mole grips which worked but looked quite messy. The best method I found was hitting hard just once with a hammer against a stone paving slab I installed the power distribution stuff under the smaller part of the bed.
